Farmhouse Raclette
Our tribute to the Gippsland High Plains, an alpine setting in a form only Australia can conceive. Raclette can be used as a table cheese, or grilled and melted as a cooking cheese to add variety to any dish.
Each wheel is approximately 1.3kg.
Originating in the European alpine regions, raclette is a cheese that melts well and is used in a range of recipes. In its manufacture, a focus in placed on the texturing of the curd. Raclette is at its best when grilled and served over other items - typically starchy or preserved foods, such as boiled or roasted potatoes, bread, gherkins or pickled onions.
While it pairs well with many sweet white wines, in the Alps it is not uncommon to eat raclette with black tea.
